Constipation, management & treatment

This session will examine constipation, its causes in adults and the available management and treatment options.

We will present current research findings and NICE guidelines and offer insights into how to improve adherence and treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients.

The training is intended for all healthcare professionals who work with adults in any setting. It will be particularly beneficial for those involved in adult bladder and bowel services, community nursing, acute nursing and care homes.

• Causes of Constipation.
• Current research, NICE and ROME guidance.
• Lifestyle and management.
• Pharmacological management.
• Alternative treatments.

Healthcare professionals, including but not limited to specialists, urologists, allied healthcare professionals and those who work in residential and care homes.

All training is delivered via Zoom.
