Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge XII

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ 12th edition of the Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge conference will be taking place on 13–14 November 2019 at One Birdcage Walk, London. This two-day conference features a unique mix of sessions on the latest engineering challenges, solutions, technologies and research managing the problem of incontinence. Delegates can also take advantage of many interactive sessions aimed at stimulating discussion and sharing ideas, including roundtable and Q&A sessions. Join this collaborative effort of engineers, scientists, clinicians, researchers, commercial designers/producers and product users focusing on pioneering techniques and technologies addressing the issues faced by caregivers and patients.

Key features for 2019 include:

  • Patient Panel: An interactive session with people who manage their incontinence using continence products, asking them to share their experiences and explain how they would like products to be improved
  • Thought-provoking talks: Speakers from outside the continence world bringing expertise from their specialist areas to the problem of incontinence and challenging us to think differently about what we do
  • International Speakers: Regular conference presentations from across academia, healthcare, industry and elsewhere, present the latest work around incontinence
